Procurement Administrator in US-Gainesville-FL, United States

Insituform Technologies, LLC. is looking for a Procurement Administrator for one of our manufacturing facilities.

Insituform Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of Aegion Corporation, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Insituform's businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional 'dig and replace' methods. 



Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and procurement support to members of the management team and staff at a manufacturing facility and across the entire business unit. Support includes but not limited to, inventory management, work order entry, payroll, labor, report generation, general clerical duties, collaboration with suppliers/vendors, collaboration with others across various levels of the organization.
  • Put together work order packages for production
  • Pull large volume of tube orders out of JD Edwards and process the work orders in JD Edwards.
  • Enter work orders into JD Edwards from completed manufacturing processes.
  • Reconcile inventory, keep track of aging inventory, do physical inventory counts.
  • Communicate with the Controller and adhere to monthly tasks related to end of month close activities.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager in keeping paperwork and files organized.
  • Point person to coordinate and communicate with resin and chemical suppliers,
  • Input vendor orders and handle change orders for multiple facilities.
  • Enter requisitions and generate POs for resin, chemicals, consumables, etc.
  • Work with other facilities to identify cost savings opportunities, collaborate and put action plans together related to those activities.
  • Work with the production floor and customers on questions/issues that come up with specific orders i.e. missing info etc.
  • Serve as an administrative backup to other facilities.
  • Interface and interact with members of the procurement team.
  • Generate reports related to procurement activities, inventory, cost.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to five years of related administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Previous experience with procurement, inventory, and time keeping required.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems, preferred.

 Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately.  Must have strong interpersonal skills. In addition, must be a strong communicator and be able to take the initiative to function without day-to-day guidance.  Must be able to interface in face to face and written situations effectively with all levels in the organization.  Must be very organized and able to multitask efficiently.  Experienced in high volume short lead time environment.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and other fundamental business-related mathematics

Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Strong PC skills with a high level of proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.  JD Edwards and Outlook experience a plus.  Ability to learn new applications quickly.

Have the ability to walk up and down stairs.  Must wear company provided and required personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes, glasses, gloves, etc. when necessary.

Work Environment: In performing the duties for this job, the employee will generally work inside an office area; but will occasionally be required to work in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations.)  Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Travel by automobile and airplane required.
