Our Cost Control Specialists:
•Serve as technical experts in cost control. Understand the relationships between the project controls functions of estimating, planning/scheduling, cost control, and risk management.  •Establish and leverage cross-discipline relationships within the business group to facilitate cost control. •Understand emerging business/industry trends and the implications for cost control.•Provide cost control leadership on project teams. Advise and counsel in areas of expertise.•Review and understand the project contract. Help identify risk areas and recommend mitigation plans. Develop and administer project controls that support contract requirements.•Implement and execute proper controls to proactively support, monitor, and communicate budget, actual status, and forecast costs, labor hours, and quantities for projects within a specific business group.•Provide a proactive contribution to the management of risk, cost, and quantities on the project.  Determine the most critical measures and implement systems of control to provide timely feedback.  Follow through on these items to improve the opportunity for success.•Analyze risk to forecast contingencies. Support contingency management.•Develop, publish, and promote the use of change control procedures.  With project team, follow through on the procedures to recover all costs not specifically defined by the contract.•Develop accurate and timely project cost forecasts with the participation of lead staff and project management.  The forecasts should be valued and used by the project team to contribute to the overall management of the project.•Analyze performance data to forecast labor hours based on performance.•Develop and issue timely cost reports.  Prepare and issue cost analysis narratives including recommendations for corrective actions that are used by the project team to manage the work. •Manage cash flow on a project.  Work with project management and project accounting to maintain an appropriate cash flow.•Create and issue client and internal status reports that effectively communicate cost status and trends.  Define corrective actions for implementation.


•Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.  Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.•Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility. •Understand EPC/full-service project delivery processes. Apply the principles of project control to the development of cost control work processes.•Demonstrate effective leadership in the execution of cost control activities on projects.  •Promote a positive working atmosphere.  Motivate peers and junior staff.  •Possess good verbal and written communication skills.  •Fluency in German and English.•Be able to effectively communicate complex cost information to varied audiences including engineering, project/construction management, and project teams.  •Be able to write accurate and meaningful project status reports.•Implement and effectively use company-standard and project/program-specific cost control systems.  •Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association (desired)
