Business Development Manager Medical in ,, Germany

Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing actionable plans which drive profitable sales in the Medical market segment for our European business. They will also provide leadership and direction to regional sales engineers and sales management to develop market segment expertise and help the salesforce execute segment growth plans including customer acquisition and product promotion.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for developing regional penetration plans that define actions which lead to profitable sales growth in the respective segment.

  • Conduct research on market trends
    Identify market trends in applications, products, and customers relevant to the segment
    Research industry trends in manufacturing processes, governmental regulations, and plastics materials. Identify the impact to Branson and how we can leverage for future growth
    Identifies competitors actions and their implications on Bransons ability to penetrate the market
    Identifies companies in the market to target as potential opportunities for customers or partners
  • Identify and prioritizes the Subsegments and Target Accounts leading to growth opportunities
  • Foster application development in support of the penetration plan. Use stage gate process to develop business case for investment and drive attainment of resources in support of planned activities. Ensure projects are progressing as expected and provide expertise when needed.

2. Work closely with regional sales leaders and salesforce to ensure short and long-term penetration plans and sales growth targets are supported

  • Work closely with regional salesforce to monitor and drive actions in the penetration plan
  • Attend sales calls to provide expertise in account management and applications
  • Provide support and training to the regional sales teams and applications groups related to selling methods in the segment as well as application development for the segment
  • Provides market intelligence to regional salesforce. Educates them on application trends, company activity, competitor actions, industry inisghts, etc.
  • Acts as a facilitator to ensure applications and best practices are shared across globally

3. Develop and implement segment playbooks for regional salesforce to follow
4. Participate as expert on industry panels and associations
5. Constantly assess our product portfolio in coordination with with Marketing and Product Management
6. Work with Marketing to develop and execute trade shows
7. Other duties as assigned



Requirements
• Education\: BS Mechanical Engineering or Marketing. MBA Strongly Preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a variety of marketing, product management or industrial products; preferably within a multinational organization. Specific experience in Plastics / Medical industry would be an asset.
• Willingness to travel
• Fluency in English and German
• Extensive customer technical sales and service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across functions and build teams
